Ahmed joins the Management Committee at Creadaptic Volleyball Club as President and Secretary with experience in a number of industries and roles, spanning from hospitality to legal.
Ahmed's diverse professional journey has led him to a prominent role as the ANZ Employee Relations Adviser at Domino's Pizza Enterprises Limited (DPE), the global head office for the largest pizza chain in Australia in terms of both network store numbers and network sales, extending to New Zealand, Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Japan, Germany, Luxembourg, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore and Cambodia. In this capacity, he plays a vital role in rendering support to hundreds of stores spanning Australia and New Zealand. Ahmed's expertise extends to providing advice on employment relations matters across various jurisdictions to Franchise Partners, store employees and parents, resolving disputes and complaints, as well as conducting investigations, contributing to DPE's unwavering commitment to bringing people closer together.
Previously, Ahmed held the position of Employment Relations Adviser at Employsure, Australia's preeminent workplace relations specialist. He played a vital role in a dynamic team of over 300 seasoned advisers and consultants spanning Australia and New Zealand. Employsure stands as one of the largest providers of workplace relations and health and safety services in Australia, providing support to an extensive network of over 30,000 businesses. Ahmed's expertise extended to assisting in offering round-the-clock, unlimited advice on employment relations matters.
Prior to this role, Ahmed held the position of Workplace Relations and Compliance Specialist and Project Officer at Clubs Queensland, the peak industry body for all registered and licensed community clubs throughout Queensland. This includes sporting clubs, RSL and ex-services/memorial clubs, surf lifesaving clubs, workers, business, cultural and general community clubs.
Ahmed is in the final stages of his Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree at the University of Queensland. His focused interest in employment law stems from his tenure as a clerk at esteemed top-tier law firms, such as Gadens, Clayton Utz and HopgoodGanim. His commitment however, extends beyond the legal realm, as he serves as an Infantry Soldier in the Australian Army Reserves and has contributed as a public servant through an internship at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (Qld).
Reflecting on his passion for volleyball, Ahmed reminisces on his enduring connection with the sport since the age of 14:
"I first played volleyball when I was 14 and I've enjoyed it ever since. It's a sport that has been with me through the ups and downs of life and I am grateful for the countless memories and friendships that volleyball has gifted me with," Ahmed said.
In his spare time, Ahmed enjoys hitting the gym, going on hikes and spending time with friends and family.
